Biography

Christian focuses on complex civil litigation involving a broad range of business contracts—from LLC operating agreements, to leasing agreements and mortgage loss mitigation, to violations of the Uniform Commercial Code. Many of these cases are resolved in federal courts, where experience with the federal rules of civil procedure really counts. Over the years, he has developed an efficient network of local counsel and manages them cost-effectively as nationwide cases reach local jurisdictions.

Law is in Christian Jorgensen’s DNA. His father and sister both practiced law, and his early interest in history and philosophy gave him a solid foundation for a distinguished career as a litigator.

For Christian, results are all about leverage. Cases settle at different ends of the spectrum. And reaching a palatable and equitable result requires careful attention to every detail—how to ask questions in discovery, when to ask them, how to use that information to greatest advantage, how to navigate the nuances of idiosyncratic contracts and the Uniform Commercial Code. These skills are especially valuable to the banks, mortgage lenders and other businesses who seek his counsel.

Dressler Peters gives Christian the platform to practice law flexibly in a contemporary, client focused firm that continues to adapt to changes in the profession and in the business environment. This agility has enabled this relatively young group of attorneys to do great work—and continue to evolve personally and professionally without the trappings of traditional law firms.

Outside the office, Christian embraces the challenges of local politics in Northwest Indiana. He currently serves on the Town Council in St. John, Indiana.
