Biography

Ann Brooks is an attorney with Dressler Peters. She advises companies on leasing, privacy, and corporate governance, and provides business counseling on a wide range of complex transactions.

Prior to joining Dressler Peters, Ann served as Vice President, Legal and Compliance at Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc., a leading global marketplace connecting buyers and sellers of lightly damaged, used and salvage vehicles, parts cars, trucks, SUV’s, motorcycles, and heavy equipment, where she managed legal matters for the company globally, primarily focusing on the company’s product, compliance, employment, and privacy matters, as well as its growth through mergers and acquisitions.

During her time at IAA, Ann designed and built the compliance function of a publicly traded company, assisted the company in acquiring technology in a $21M deal, and led on a $17M acquisition of a business. Ann was instrumental in integrating a $284M international acquisition by aligning legal, compliance, privacy and cybersecurity, government affairs and employment functions.

Prior to joining IAA, Ann served as Vice President and General Counsel of Kingsway Financial Services, Inc., a publicly traded insurance holding company that is listed on the NYSE, and as Deputy General Counsel of Ensono, LP, a cloud, mainframe and managed infrastructure services provider.
